Melissa and Wayne Stennett

Melissa and I met at Agapé (Christian Music Festival) in Greenville, Illinois in May 2001.  We were both in to see the concerts and wound up finding each other over a game of hackeysack.  One thing led to another and we ended up married on May 31, 2003. 

Melissa and I visited Haiti on our college Christmas break in 2002.  During that trip, we felt that God was calling us to come and help the children here.  Melissa and I both have degrees in education and came here to teach school.  We completed our first year teaching and felt that God was calling us to teach for another year.  We returned to teach for the second year and are enjoying our time here with the children. 

Melissa and I are both born-again Christians who believe that the bible is the inerrant word of God. We firmly believe that faith on Jesus Christ is the only way obtaining  forgiveness of sin and spending eternity in heaven.  If you have an questions about this statement you can email us, we would love to hear from you.
